Slowing down the ripening of plantain, who else knows this method?
I recently discovered this new method of preserving plantain and since then, I have been wondering why it took me so long to find out, being a plantain lover.
It is as simple as you opening your refrigerator and putting your plantain inside. Yea, that is the method. Putting plantain in a fridge slows down the ripening process.
I tried it out myself, though not my first time of doing it but it is the first time I remembered to take pictures.
The plantains in the picture are from the same bunch. The unripe one was preserved by refrigeration.
So there you go. If you didn't know this fact before, now you know. :-)
Thank me later.
